Arrival in Delhi
Everyone has tried to leave their mark on Delhi: rulers, emperors and kings. More often than not, it is the city that leaves a mark on its visitors. For centuries, it has been a source of unimaginable treasure and wealth, a source of wisdom and inspiration, and a fitting place to begin your monumental adventure through India’s Golden Triangle. Delhi to Jaipur
After enjoying Delhi at, fly to Jaipur and check in to a 19th century Haveli. Explore the Hawa Mahal, the Palace of Winds. It is a once-of-a-kind structure, with nearly a thousand windows and balconies. Such an apparent excess was meant to give the indwellers a more direct experience of the exciting street life while remaining in seclusion. Jaipur to Ramathra
Travel early in the morning to Amer, a small city sitting in the entrance to a gorge. Amer features a fort that has a dramatic layout and a unique blend of Rajput and Mughal elements. Continue east, to the greener Rajasthan, and check in to Ramathra Fort, where you will be staying for the night.
Enjoy the peaceful surroundings, you are now in the true Rajasthan. Life here is simpler, and runs at a slower pace. Walk through the villages in the morning and learn of the local's way of life. There are many monuments in the vicinity and natural wonders abound. In the afternoon, head out to the lake for a bird-watching session and discover the vastness of India’s biodiversity.
Deep into Rural Rajasthan
You meet people whose lifestyle has changed little in centuries. They are welcoming and kind. The Shahpura region is rich in lakes, orchards and farms. There are also many old monuments and forts. The long history of conflict between warring kingdoms meant that life was often lived afield. Rajasthan soon developed a flair for camps, which became luxurious and a true joy. Tonight, you will stay in one such tented camp, over a dam that overlooks a magnificent lake.
Walk through the surrounding villages and interact with a local family. As you make your way back to the camp, enjoy the natural wonders of this area.

Chanoud features an ancestral palace which has recently been restored. It is your accommodation for the night. You will learn of the long history of the place, and break bread with its owners, members of an ancient lineage.
Chanoud to Jodhpur
A large and monumental city, Jodhpur has adapted its way of life to the hardships of the Thar desert, so much that it wears a blue mantle to keep the heat at bay. It is an ancient city, and one with a flair for colour: from the bejeweled outfits of the locals, to the blue-washed walls that populate the city. Drive to the towering Mehrangarh Fort, a massive structure that overlooks the city, and join an exclusive guide who will walk with you back to town, and reveal the secrets kept therein.
