Maori Artists Come to Hong Kong

Friday, 31 August 2018 19:30
Blueflower Travel Salon, 20D, Yally Building, Wong Chuk Hang

Come have dinner with four renowned Maori artists. Engage in great conversation and interact with them like old acquaintances in a sincere, un-staged and exclusive event. Limited to 20 seats, this one-of-a-kind Travel Salon breaks the boundaries between cultures and is one of the city’s most exclusive travel evenings.

Stocking the Travel Salon is chef and Traveller Extraordinaire Andrea Oschetti. A three-course Italian dinner will add a Mediterranean accent to this wonderful evening of cultural diversity, a delightful Kai & Korero, which is Maori for Food and Conversation.

As the evening progresses, the artists will make a display of their mastery in diverse Maori arts: tattooing, weaving, stone and wood carving. Much more than a mere demonstration, attendants and artists will have a unique opportunity to interact, exchange impressions and nurture understanding among each other’s cultures.

This special Travel Salon is made possible by Blueflower Travels in partnership with New Zealand Tourism and the New Zealand Maori Arts & Crafts Institute.
